The video below covers a common problem when photographing white dogs: when the exposure is just right for the white fur, the eyes may need some brightening so that you don’t lose detail or color in them. I used a recent photo of Jamie as an example of how to correct the problem, and this correction is something I’ve done many times on photos of the dogs.
FYI, I’ve been experimenting with various new tools for screencasts: on Windows and the Mac I’m using Techsmith‘s slick Camtasia product, and for Linux (Ubuntu) I’m experimenting with RecordMyDesktop and XVidCap. This screencast was done on Windows with Camtasia. I’m using Photoshop CS6 here, but the general concepts could be applied in any image editing software that has support for layers and RAW files.
